So here are belated pictures of my new De Lourve shoes. Pretty and white <3333

And here are Midori's, who left them with me so she won't get scolded by her mum for buying another pair of shoes.

We're supposed to be the same shoe size but I got an 8 and she got a 7. I fit them too, though a bit snugly.

They have frilly detailing at the heel, unlike mine >.>

Now for some very late pictures of Anime SMASH! that I didn't upload until now. Blame M for sending me Resizer, and now I can upload in seconds. This is picture overload...

First one of the day: Josh stripping the rose stem on our table at the Maid Cafe. He then had a pile of leaves on the table which he swept onto the floor stealthily, coupled with compliants and outrage from me for being a litterer.

Midori was feeling bad for making plans with D when she promised me gym, so she bought me a present to buy my affection.

It worked.

Love my yukata. I got many a compliment on it because people thought it was beautiful, and I was even stopped on the road by a girl who wanted to know where I got it and if it's a real obi belt (Japan, sorry dear). I got hit on by heaps of ugly old men at the train station/s -_-

The scarf I was contemplating buying, but I let Maria have it since I'm too cheap to shell out $15 for this.

When our drinks finally arrived. I was disappointed that I didn't actually get a proper honey green tea, but feh.

I didn't notice I got our table number in this shot! MUAHAHAHA, table 9!

The bill came before we even got our cakes. My verdict on the Maid Cafe - bad service, overpriced and overrated. It was a good experience though, but I doubt I'll bother next year lining up for half an hour to get in. We were the first batch of customers by the way :D

$37 for 4 cakes and 6 drinks -_-

B and her cool hot chocolate which the maid made on the spot. And Tiramisu cake, tasted better than the other cakes so she got the best deal out of us all.

She's wearing Elegant Gothic Lolita. The waistcoat is v v pretty and went very well with her blouse. Mind you, she dresses like this almost everyday.

Nah not really this elegant usually. Close enough.

The Strawberry Cheesecake which Maria and I both got. I couldn't taste the cheese at first, but it came with plenty of strawberries and cream.

*smacks lips* A shame you couldn't join us M =p

Because isn't that Tiramisu just heavenly to the eyes?

Unfortunately I didn't have breakfast yet and it was already about 2pm, so I neede savoury food FAST. This brought me to wait at the only food source at SMASH! for 40mins to get takoyaki.

That is in fact a guy dressed as a female character, and he proceeded to whip out pompoms and dance on stage. Guts, I say. It was such a shame I didn't record it because it was so funny!

I only took photos of the really good cosses, and Yoshi was no exception to this.

Yoshi did in fact have a skit on stage also, and he went off to do the "Arrrrrrrr!!!" sounds and jump up and down O_O

A Roy from Fullmetal Alchemist! Can't believe there are still fans, the ending totally sucked and killed the anime for me.

The characters from Death Note performed the skit whereby L (Lawliet, OMG SPOILER!), Misa and Light was killed by Ryuk o_O The he commit suicide because Light was dead and couldn't buy him apples. Wtf.

It wasn't the only strange thing I saw that day. This is why I enjoy going to anime conventions, even though I'm no longer an anime fan :)

All in all, I enjoyed the day and ignored the moments where my obi was slidding down my waist, I was bored to death waiting in line at the Maid Cafe AND for takoyaki, and walked around in wooden thongs with my legs restricted. Yep, life is great.

Just Another Saturday

CBB, go away.

M made me promise I won't spend a net worth of $100 excluding essentials (train fare, food, etc.) if I bought The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Shucks *insert unhappy pout*

But I returned the MAC eyeshadow I got, and bought another one so I'm on -$8! HEHEHE.

Anyway.

Although I detest the waking up at 4:30am aspect of my temp job, I do love the location at the centre of the CBD; Martin Place. Firstly, it's a 2min max walk to the first and formerly only Lindt Cafe in the world (the second being a 30min walk at The Rocks, I believe?). Reila thinks Max Brenner is better than Lindt, but I still contest to its superiority in texture and flavour - MB is a bit too sweet, and not as smooth and light as Lindt, but MB is richer in flavour.

Secondly, I'm right next door to Gringotts a.k.a. The Commonwealth Bank. As a semi-HP fanatic, this fact is uber cool. Maybe when they shoot the scenes in Deathly Hallows, they'll come back to Sydney to shoot! :D AND I'LL BE ABLE TO SEE RUPERT GRINT, MAYBE?!

I hate Daniel Radcliffe, can't act for shizzle.

Thirdly, you get to witness awesome events strolling around Martin Place, like on my toilet breaks. Today I saw a model posing in front of Tiffany & Co. in super cold weather, and when the camera stopped rolling she was shivering and clutching her body. Poor thing. And remember the flashers? Yeah.

My mother got a free box of cereal once.

And on Valentine's Day this year I got a Fling. Yummers, but really similar to Kinder Bueno.

LOL I realised the name is rather appropriate. Kudos to Mars Inc.

Yes, I would very much like to work in the city.

I then had a jellyfish, fatty pork (EW FATS) and raw vege salad for lunch since the rents rejected my idea of a healthy alternative. I'm attempting to follow the Atkin's diet of very little carbs and fat, lots of protein for a few weeks. Let's see if this works in conjunction with gym.

I hauled my arse to Parramatta Westfields for gym, just because I promised M and J I would go. It had nothing to do with me making the most of my money. I am very proud of myself thank you very much. Unfortunately my muscles were still in pain from yesterday's intense session and I couldn't do much other than treadmill. The sauna was relaxing until a guy made it unbearably hotter, and I started getting a little faint and dizzy. Thank God that's over now, no matter how good it was for the body. It's all because I stayed up until 1 last night watching the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. Bloody Aussies third last wtf T_T 3hrs sleep then work, and gym afterwards.

I feel bad now because I shared a pasta with M. I ate carbs. I broke Atkin's, and it's only been 12hrs.

The three of us took ages to decide where to eat, so it was decided that we should give Toscani's another try despite the failed attempt the first time. It was much busier today and we got a crap table near the door and as I said, it was a freaking freezing day and night.

Table number! I love recording them for some strange, obsessive reason. It tells me where I've been in a way.

28 today.

Before we could say anything, Josh ordered 3 lemon lime bitters, on him. We paid for them in the end -_-

M and la drink. It's a pretty tea colour, and you have to mix it with the bitters at the bottom. See how the bottom of the glass is clear liquid?

It's already mixed by now though. The first time J had it, he didn't know and kept saying the drink wasn't that great, too bitter.

T_T Aish.

I was trying to get a decent one of me sipping too. M wanted to take it for me but kept messing up so I just gave her a glare in the end, which worked. My camera doesn't like me at all.

J tried to get us to share his Garlic Bread with Cheese.

Why do I always take it when people are making weird faces xD

M and I finally caved. We halved it.

Josh ate a Garlic and Chili Prawn Pizzette. He took out all the capsicum - what a waste! This was the only one I took of the food because I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic when our pasta came and ate it all up like greedy fat...nevermind.

I don't even know how to spell our meal. Chicken something, it tasted almost like Napolitana sauce, not quite as "tomato-y"* as Bolognese, but creamy enough because of the cheese. It came with chicken bits which M claimed weren't very tender, and bacon strips in penne rigatta pasta.

I know my pasta, sort of >_> Mother used to work at an Italian grocer in the heart of Leichhardt.

Sharing pasta wasn't satisfying and I was still pretty hungry, but the drink filled the emptiness temporarily.

I don't waste food at least, unlike Vivien and Josh.

Weeeee.

After months and Sex and the City, I finally got my grubby paws on one of these notoriously girly of all girl's drinks. When we first saw it, it did look disappointing because I was expecting something more blood red.

I finally noted that it didn't have enough cranberry juice (imo) since I could only taste sweetness and vodka. Horrible aftertaste (duh, vodka) but if you down it faster, nothing! Sweet :) Literally speaking.

This was the last photo we could take before the cam ran out of batteries, leaving the lens stuck outside in all its glory.

It's so not my fault of the lens is scratched, camera should be smart enough to use up it's last juices to shut itself down properly.

We finally got around to paying the bill and after swapping money and annoying Josh with all our coins, we finally split it and paid him so he can use his credit card with one purchase. He didn't like the coins very much and took them all out and poured all over the table.

There was a massive amount of coins.

We laughed so hard M's stomach was hurting. You had to be in the moment to understand, but Josh's pained expression coupled with the dramatic cascade of too many coins to carry was definitely hilarious. I was miffed that I couldn't photograph the stash of coins.

It was fun though :)

Now to clean my awful room...

Sunday Gym Session

I foolishly forgot to include photos xD

Smoked salmon and goat's cheese salad from Sumo Salad. It was v fabulous!

M wanted something crepe like, so went for a Mexicana wrap that wasn't so filling. It sounded good though; chicken, cheese, avocado, tomato and sauce Mexican style. But so unsatisfyingly small. For pigs like us, NOT ENOUGH.

We wanted to share a pretzel but the sweet ones were sold out by then :(

M and her drink, Strawberry Float. Doesn't she look pretty in this pictures? I don't remember what she was doing but I think the conversation went something like this.

Close up of the drink. It's strawberries and white chocolate shake with a scoop of vanilla icecream. Last time I had this, loved it. I am definitely getting this again once I finish everything on the menu <- my goal at Max Brenner LOL.

Josh ordered a Chocolate Souffle. Expensive and totally overpriced, but very soft and luscious on the inside. Not worth the money in my opinion, but good nonetheless.

Both M and J got their orders before me, and we were here waiting and waiting for mine to come before they started. Awww they're such sweethearts. The waitresses sucked. They didn't clean up the tabels properly and one of them overlooked our table and dragged my order outside, then back in to look for me. The waiters last time were so efficient, thumbs up to the boys! Girls, I'm ashamed of you.

Anyway, I got the Dark Chocolate Suckao, a self-made hot chocolate!

You pick up those choc pellets and chuck it in the hot milk above the candle. It's so awesome. And thanks to Hui Wen, you can get milk refills!

All gone. Serena is a chocolate piggy.

I still think Lindt > all other chocolates INCLUDING Max Brenner.
