What the hell is a flying green song-rabbit?!
Grongbit (GReen sONG rabBIT) is the result of our nicknames combined. "Our" meaning the three founding authors. The flying comes from our guest-turned-permanent blogger, Butterfly Coffin.
And yes, rabbits can too fly, sing and be green.

Not All Friday's Are Great
This Friday proved to be rather.... shit. But lets back track to Thursday.....
Thursday i had a biology quiz that I'd been studying for for almost a week. So much so that all I had buzzing around in my head was plant reproductive cycles/life cycles... anyone want to know =D??
Anyway seeing as it was the last week of uni before stuvac and exams, (I feel sorry for the other uni students who don't have stuvac =( how do you study!!!???), I wanted to have all these foods.... so we decided to celebrate the end of my last assessment before exams me and D would go out and eat. We already had a place in mind, that Japanese place that sells takoyaki at Smash and Animania events have a small set up store in China town that sells Japanese pizza. We saw it last week and really wanted some but were too full. However upon getting there we realised it was only there during Friday markets... so we decided instead to go to the Dumpling House at the end of Sussex street in china down. Here's what we ordered:
Ham and Prawn Omlette
Pork and Cabbage Dumplings.
The food there wasn't as nice as we'd hoped.... The egg part of the omelette was quite nice. Not over done, but the overall taste of it was very plain and the only flavour was saltiness. The dumplings were quite cheap at $8 ish for 12. The cheapest we've had. (we have this habit or ordering dumplings everywhere we go now if it's on the menu.... once we ordered ones for $1.50 EACH.) The dumplings were NOT worth however little we paid for it because one side was over fried... almost burnt and you could tell straight away it was just frozen package ones. We're prob not going there again... Though they did have a big tv hanging and we watched Deal or No Deal...
Friday
Remember how last Friday I raved on about how much i loved Fridays? Well this Friday sucked. I couldn't figure out what to wear for a start and opted to try the skirt into a dress idea. This is a very old longish skirt, and no one wears these anymore so I thought I should find a new use for it or chuck it out. See the red Oroton bow you guys got me?? =D I don't reckon it looks so bad considering I looked like a giant lamp shade/sleeping gown without the belt XD
Went downstairs to have breakfast and mum asked why I wear my pretty skirt into an ugly dress T_T. Grandma was still lost until I explained to her 3 times that it was a skirt not a dress....
Bad things started happening though when I headed out the door... I was in a rush to catch the train so just threw on a pair of thongs as my toes still hurt from a pair of heels a few days before -.-
BAD IDEA.
I thought my pair of yellow thongs could survive the whole uni day until the rubber thing that goes into the thongs that's clamped between my big toe and 2nd toe (everyone know what I'm talking about here?) falls out... making it impossible to walk... I shove it back in but it falls out a total of 5 times just on my way to the train station from my house. And I looked really stupid bending down every few metres to put it back in... So I decided to call minglez to see if she was still at Parra and could just go into Westfields and buy me a pair. Her train was coming in a few minutes. We decide to go to Townhall as QVB and other stores are closer to the train station than market city was from Central. Few minutes pass and she rings me back saying her train should be here but it just got delayed by 5min. She would have made it if she went and got a pair of thongs for me!!!
I get to Central first and am busting to go to the toilet since my grandma cooked congee in the morning and it always makes me wanna pee. (TMI XD??) and I realised Townhall's toilets were having sewerage problems. Had to think frantically trying to think of where the next toilet was. Should ask Steven next time where he went that night at Townhall....
Before minglez arrives I search the area under kinokuniya. When she arrived we walked all the way along QVB to Pitt street. Yes there were shoe stores but everyone above $40. I'm not forking out $40 for emergency shoes T_T All I wanted was a nice pair of comfy thongs.
Eventually we were basically shopping... We finally saw a General Pans Co at Pitt Street and decide if they didn't have thongs we'll just spend the rest of the day shopping and skip our lessons.
They had thongs.
We rummaged through several pairs cuz any colour I liked was not in my size.... Finally I settled on ANOTHER yellow pair -.-
Went up to pay and realised i had 30c on me... I forgot to load my wallet with more cash after spending it on the yucky meal the day before....
Had to use my card -.- and these thongs cost me $24.95!! Maybe it's just me... but aren't Havaianas a tad expensive? I remember my old yellow pair from Jay Jays with Serena's were like 2 for $15. Oh well... minglez also bought a pair of pink and white ones were were quite nice. I liked them =( but I don't have many other pink things...
We started to walk back to TH station when minglez realises she had a um..... "wardrobe malfunction" So off we went trying to find something to correct it with....finally we found a pair of shorts in Supre for sale. On the way back to TH station we saw Mondo. the icecream place near the escalators and decided we wanted a banana dipped in chocolate stick. It was cheap at $1.95 but the banana was brown on the outside.. and in the very last few minutes of its days.... it didn't taste so nice because of that -.- shit day aye? We'd missed our first class and our 2nd class had started by now but I forced myself to go back to uni and not miss anymore classes...
On the bus minglez got off at central to meet up with Steven since she didn't have anymore classes anyway (or maybe she jigged....) I stayed on the bus to go to Usyd. The bus passed the entry at Broadway.... lazy me thinking that it would go all the way to the front of uni didn't want to get off here so I stayed on.
The bus kept going straight until it passed...
the entry to footbridge theatre....
St Paul's college in usyd...
Usyd veterinary clinic....
Unfamiliar roads...
In the end I decided to get off... however I was almost lost... I had no idea where I was and the only place familiar seemed to be the footbridge theatre entrance... so I trekked back. The weather was getting hotter and the walk seemed a lot longer than what it was on the bus... past the veterinary clinic... past st Paul's college... I was getting rather hot, tired and sticky by now and an antique store opposite the road looked rather inviting...
Finally I found an entry that seemed familiar and found my way back into uni -.- I was at the opposite side though of where I wanted to go so had to walk another 15min to get to maths building to collect my results. Which turned out to not be available yet cuz I just had the lesson in the morning and the uncollected papers weren't in the pigeonholes yet. Urgh now I have to go back during stuvac to collect it...
Went to MBLG lecture, met D and he informed me that he had a group presentation at 4, which I knew about... then told me they hadn't finished the project so he could only stay with me for an hour after the lecture -.- and therefore unable to go to Chinatown again to have Japanese pizza...
MBLG lecture freaked me out about exams... so screwed...
After telling D about my bad day he said he'll take me to eat ice cream. We went to a nearby restaurant in Broadway. Sunflower. We'd been there before during my vegetarian days and had a sweet crepe that was very small and expensive but we were willing to try again. The place was quite packed and we got the 2nd last table =)
I had this:
BBQ pork rib with rice. One of their recommended dishes. I know.. it's not icecream -.- I was hungry okay... needed some proper food... and I had an ice tea. They gave me one lonesome ice cube in it... wasn't very nice... This dish was yummy though and i couldn't finish it all. They had a bit of cabbage underneath some of the pork so it looked deceivingly big... but I still couldn't finish all the rice or the salad. This place has a tendency to sweeten everything.. This dish was a bit sweet =\ Apparently it's all Taiwanese cuisine.
This is Mr D' dish. Aussie Sunrise. Isn't the egg with the tomato sauce cute! The thing about this place is they have a small bit of salad with almost every meal making you feel healthier XD I had a bite of this, which had cucumber, ham and more boiled egg inside. It was nice... gut a bit strange cuz it also had a sweet taste to it....
D's been craving Takoyaki for some time and he got this side dish. The balls are really small and under it were lettuce leaves to make it seem like there's more... and there is the tiny bit of salad. The takoyaki was average.
Next to us we saw a guy have a huge plate of rectangular shaped dumplings.. needless to say we're coming back for ice cream and dumplings!!
Sunflower is quite good I reckon. Some of the sweet dishes are a bit expensive considering how small they are and in relation to their savoury counterpart of the same price. They specialise in ice cream, crepes and Taiwanese cuisine. It's about halfway on Broadway between usyd and central.
We still had a bit of time after to browse and went to Broadway Shopping Centre cuz it was air conditioned!! Wondered around not doing much then just sat on the couch drinking Easyway. This convo made me laugh XD:
*D tugs at my dress and tries to put the icy Easyway on me
Me: oi stop it!
D: aww but it's funny
Me: no it's not... you're so childish
D: how! I am not!
Me: well childish or do you prefer another word? Starts with P? 7 letters. Ends with t. (I'm thinking pervert btw >.>)
D: I.... I don't know what word you're thinking about!
5min later.
D: perfect! Yes you're right I am perfect yeh ;)
Me: T_T that wasn't the word I was thinking about...
D: Yeh!! starts with p, ends with t, 7 letters!
Me: -.-
Haha so cute no XD? Took him too long though to come up with that come back....
We ended up browsing for quite a bit cuz his group members called him and said they' already finished it. so we could have gone to eat Japanese pizza T_T
Walking home was hot hot hot and humid. I hate hot humid weather... Oh there must be something with the men who drive on Pitt street. This whole week most days I have received either a whistle, horn beeps, waves, shouts etc ALL on the same street. WTF?? And on Friday, this guy who's car was stopped at the lights blew me a kiss O_O. I was drinking water then and almost spat it out XD
Worst news of all though was an email i got from the university. I had previously already received my mark for the prac component of one of my unit of studies: MBLG. I received another email though with the exact same content and my mark changed. LOWERED in fact...
I was devastated... it was quite a difference too... From 82.8 to 75.5. That's like an almost High Distinction to a just Distinction! So I emailed the coordinator and she emailed me back saying my demonstrator had given one of my marks as out of 20 when it was out of 10 so she ended up entering 14.5/10 instead of 14.5/20... Therefore the LOWER mark is correct.
DAMN. Got me all excited at my good mark... at my possibility to get a shit exam mark and still get a credit for the unit and BAM the lower mark hits me. I know the mark isn't too bad.. but she got my hopes and expectations up then smashed them to the ground...
Oh woe me... =(
Shit Fridays followed by 2 weeks of studying is not so great...
And now I have procrastinated for like 2hrs.. back to studying...
Won't be hearing from me for 2 weeks..
Midori.

Yay! Finally after much adjusting my entry came out perfect!
Wait... wtf why does he font change in the middle...
Fixed. You left out a span tag.
You're becoming a lot more fashionable ever since starting Uni that I'm seeing you as really fobby.
But I totally had the idea of turning my white tiered skirt into a dress too!! But I can't pull it off; boobs, you know. It makes me look prego.
Maybe I'm just not spending time with you anymore.
Omg Minglez, hope you noticed it fast enough how embarassing if she walked around QVB like that.
And 'pervert' is such a sissy insult. Call him a 7 letters, starts with A.
You're still being hit on by random people, I see. So much for me being prettier.
hmm. the blog site isn't exactly working fo rme. I can't seem teh load half the page.
BUT GUESs WhAT! MY EXAMS ARE OVERRRR!!! which is irrelevant to this post, heheheheh.
I quite like the white skirt-dress. and yes, haviana's usually cost that much. Jayjays is just ultra ultra cheap. (I got a pair from there for $5, but still, nothing beats my havianas :):):) )
S: wtf i don't wanna be fobby...
Use a belt and you won't look prego =) Dw i looked prego without belt XD You totally aren't spending time with me besides at gym and it's exam period so i don't even see you -.-. And he was being a pervert T_T
And why only in my suburb??
Vivien: hmm see i hate how this blog screws up T_T My exams don't finish till the 14th =(
I just realised every time I've bought thongs i wasn't actually out to buy them... I go through a pair every year, they wear down. If these don't last me a year I'm gonna switch back to cheapie pair -.-
